Hey there! As much as I have spring on the mind, winter is definitely here to stay for the next several weeks. By the end of the season, I always feel so burned out. Since we start dressing for winter by end of October, it’s easy to feel uninspired when getting dressed each morning come February. It often feels like I’m wearing the same thing over and over — can you relate? If you’re needing a little outfit inspo for the rest of the season, here are five winter outfit ideas to try now.
1. Vest + Turtleneck
This is one of my go-to looks for lazy days. I throw on a comfy knit t-neck with a vest popped over the top. You’ll look stylish with minimal effort, not to mention you’ll be hella warm.
2. Blouse + Boyfriend Jeans
I’m a big fan of mixing my feminine and menswear-inspired pieces — you’ll truly never run out of options in your closet! I’ve been loving pairing pretty feminine tops with blouson or bell sleeves with distressed denim. It’s an unexpected combination, but looks super chic with a pair of loafers and a leather crossbody.
3. Long Cardigan + ANYTHING
This ultra-long cardigan is one of the best things I bought last year. It can instantly make a tee and pair of yoga pants look polished, but can dress down a buttondown for work. Long cardis are cute with dresses, skirts, jeans, leggings, boots, flats…need I go on?
4. Denim + Leather Leggings
I admitted earlier this season that my favorite pair of leather leggings are actually from my catwoman Halloween costume from 2014. They have been a mainstay in my wardrobe ever since. I’ve worn these leggings countless ways over the years, but my new favorite pairing is with a sweater and denim jacket. It’s casual, yet refined and super comfortable!
5. Cozy Sweater + Over the Knee Boots
Who doesn’t love over the knee boots? They were hands-down the hottest trend of winter 2017 and will continue in popularity over the next few years. Although OTK boots can be pretty dressy, I like pairing them with skinny jeans and a cozy, oversized sweater for a more casual look. You’ll have legs for days and be super cozy at the same time (you know, a win/win).
Which look are you going to try next?
Until next time —
